Blog Info & Maintenance

Hi everyone!

With my blog coming up on its first "birthday", and 2012 right around the corner as well, I've made a few small changes.  I've been fiddling with different elements for a while, so I apologize if it's been annoying... I may keep tweaking things for a bit longer....

I've decided to use page breaks within my posts, to make the blog load faster for some readers.  At the bottom of each post appearing on the Home page, there is a link "Click here to read more", that will take you to the rest of the day's post, which usual contains historic information and photos.

Please take a look at the tabs on the top.  I've created pages for different categories of information that may be of interest.  I try to keep these as updated & accurate as possible, and I hope to keep building on those.

Also, please feel free to comment or share any ideas of your own for what you'd like to see here, along with any corrections that are necessary.  Even after almost a year of figuring out this whole blog thing, I'm still very 'green' and have a lot to learn - I'm open to ideas!

Thank you to the few of you that have taken time out of your busy lives and stopped by these past few months, I hope it continues!

January 6   Pascua Militar in Spain with attendance by members of the Spanish Royal Family.

January 8-12   State Visit to the United Arab Emirates & Oman by Queen Beatrix, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands.

January 10 & 11   New Year receptions for Luxembourg officials with attendance from Grand Duke Henri & Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg.

January 13-15   Queen Margethe II of Denmark's 40th Ruby Jubilee celebrations, with attendance from the Danish Royal Family and other foreign royals.

January 19-29   International Circus Festival in Monaco.

January 24   Spain's Foreign Ambassadors' Reception

January 8   Princess Siriswannari Nariratana [Busya Nambejra] of Thailand celebrates her 25th birthday {1987}. She is a daughter of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand, and a granddaughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) of Thailand.

January 9   Princess William (Catherine) of Wales, Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Baroness Carrickfergus celebrates her 30th birthday  {1982}. She is the wife of Prince William of Wales, Duke of Cambridge, who is the elder child of The Prince Charles, Prince of Wales & the late Diana, Princess of Wales.  William is a grandson of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain + Northern Ireland & Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

January 13   Marius Borg Hoiby celebrates his 15th birthday  {1997}. He is the eldest child of Crown Princess Mette Marit of Norway, who is the wife of Crown Prince Haakon of Norway.  Haakon is the only son of King Harald V & Queen Sonja of Norway.

January 14 & 15   Accession & Proclamation Anniversaries of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, celebrating 40 years on the throne  {1972}.

January 15   Prince Philip of Yugoslavia/Serbia [twin] celebrates his 30th birthday  {1982}. He is a son of Crown Prince Alexander II of Yugoslavia/Serbia & Princess Maria da Gloria of Orleans-Braganza, Duchess of Segorbe.

January 20   Carlos Klynstra celebrates his 15th birthday  {1997}. He is the only [legally un-recognized & illegitimate] child of Prince Carlos of Bourbon-Parma, Duke of Parma + Piacenza & Brigitte Klynstra. Carlos is the nephew of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.
