He married firstly to Countess Anna Maria von Pocci (1944-2008) on May 20, 1969 (Civil) & May 22, 1969 (Religious) in Schwangau. They were childless & it was annulled in 1972. He married secondly to Christa Heinle (b.1941) on Mar. 14, 1973 (Civil) in Schwangau & Mar. 15, 1973 (Religious) in Bullachberg. They had 2 sons: Pr.Hubertus of Thurn + Taxis (b.1973) & Pr.Philipp of Thurn + Taxis (b.1973), besides his wife (now known as Pss Christa of Thurn + Taxis) & sons he is also survived by his daughters-in-law & grandson.
