Dec.13 Serbia: Death of Princess Eva Maria of Yugoslavia, aged 94 years old @ Palm Springs, CA, USA. She was the widow of Prince Andrej of Yugoslavia. She was born as Milica “Mitzi” Andelkovic on Aug.26, 1926 as the only daughter of Milan Andelkovic & Eva Jovanovic @ Vrnjacka-Banja, Serbia. She had a brother, Milan Andelkovic. Her parents eventually divorced. In the 1940s she married Mr. Smiljanic. After WWII she fled Yugoslavia for the USA as the Communists took power. In 1955 she married Dr. Franklin P. Lowe (b. Apr.2, 1922). They had 2 children & lived in California, and divorced on Mar.18, 1974. She was the caregiver of King Peter II of Yugoslavia until his death in 1970 & the executor of his will. She married Prince Andrej “Andy” of Yugoslavia (b. June 28, 1929 in Bled) on Mar. 30, 1974 @ Palm Springs, CA, USA. He died by an apparent suicide on May 6, 1990 @ Irvine, CA, USA.
